Our Annual Comedy Benefit is a fun-filled evening that has taken its place among the premier entertainment events in the Rochester area. This major fundraising event helps JFS sustain and enhance the important work we do in our community. About The Second City
The Second City is Chicago's legendary comedy theatre group. This special performance will feature some of the best sketches, songs, and improvisations from The Second City's fifty year history. The Second City is truly a Chicago landmark and a national treasure.

The Second City is celebrating 50 years of cutting edge satiric revues as well as the launching pad for generations of comedy superstars. Founded in Chicago in 1959, The Second City has become the premier training ground for the comedy world's best and brightest. Their alumni list reads like a who's who of American comedy and includes: Alan Arkin, Joan Rivers, Robert Klein, John Belushi, Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray, Gilda Radner, George Wendt, Martin Short, John Candy, Bonnie Hunt, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Mike Myers, Steve Carell, Tina Fey and countless others.

An evening with The Second City provides audiences with the chance to see comedy stars in the making, while they enjoy absolutely hilarious satire and cutting-edge improvisation.
