Assistant Executive Director
SUMMARY
Assists the Executive Director in managing the day to day operations of the Agency. Supervises program staff and manages the aging, adoption, counseling and Brighton Food Cupboard programs. Responsibilities include grant writing and program planning, budgeting, implementation, maintenance and evaluation.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Management of the day to day operations of Agency programs and services.
- Implementation and oversight of the Agency program evaluation process.
- Identification of grant writing opportunities and new and ongoing grant writing and submission.
- Development and maintenance of funder (United Way, Jewish Federation, Foundations, Individuals and Government) relationships.
- Identifies new program opportunities that address community social service needs.
- Works with area community organizations to develop collaborations and program delivery models that further the JFS mission.
- Provides community presentations about the Agency.
- Participates in Agency budget preparation.
- Acts for the Executive Director in times of the Executive Director's absence.
- Supervises and evaluates program management staff.
- Staff representative at JFS Board of Directors Program Committee.
- Other duties as may be assigned by the Executive Director.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION:
LMSW, LCSW-R or Masters in a related field preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of 8 years supervisory experience in the human services field.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Valid driver’s license and car necessary.
A candidate who has knowledge of and familiarity with the Jewish Community is preferred
Salary based on experience. EOE.
Case Manager
Two Positions Available:
Full Time - 37.5 hours/week
Part Time - 24-27 hours/week
SUMMARY
Provides case management services to frail, isolated, older adults who are functionally impaired. Responsible for assessments, care coordination, advocacy and related case management activities for assigned group of clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Conducts psychosocial assessments, OARS, PHQ-9, Caregiver Strain Index. Interviews clients and their families in appropriate care setting, such as home, hospital or other facility.
- Obtains and documents assessment information using approved information and forms.
- Develops a comprehensive case management plan that addresses all pertinent areas of the assessment and helps develop attainable goals.
- Provides Community resource information Monitors clients and services in accordance with best standards of social work practice.
- Keeps up-to-date records and documents according to policy.
- Provides medical advocacy for clients and accompany to medical appointments when necessary.
- Acquires up-to-date knowledge of aging services and professional practices through reading and attending seminars, workshops and conferences.
- Participates in staff meetings, Aging meetings and case reviews in accordance to agency regulations.
- Completes all statistics and written reports in a thorough and timely fashion.
- Conducts outreach and public relation activities as requested.
- Is aware of and actively supports the Agency's cultural competency goals, efforts, and activities.
- Other duties as requested by supervisor.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION:
Preferred qualification: Case Management Certification
Minimum Education/Certification: BA/BS in Social Work, LMSW or LCSW
EXPERIENCE:
At least two years case management experience or equivalent, preferably with the senior population. Working knowledge of community and mental health resources. Experience with older adults with dementia, caregiver support helpful. Excellent verbal and written communication skills needed.

Valid Drivers license. Car necessary. Able to climb stairs.
