Family Funds
JFS is also proud of its family of named funds. Contributions throughout the year can be designated
directly to these funds and are reported as such in the Family Album. Minimum
balance for a named fund is $10,000. JFS welcomes you and your family to
consider establishing a named fund.
Current Family Funds:
- Michael Boyar Memorial Fund – to maintain the JFS library
- Nathan J. Goldberg Memorial Fund – for the Jewish Big Brother/Big Sister Program
- Ruth & Manville Harris Memorial Fund – provides special programs for Jewish refugees.
- Charles H. Kroll Memorial Fund – for programs serving the elderly.
- Dorothy Landsman Memorial Fund – Comprised of contributions made in her memory
- Harry Lebman, MD. Memorial Fund – to provide services to seniors
- Mabel Messinger Memorial Fund – to support the JFS endowment
- Schloss-Levy Memorial Fund – support services to the frail elderly
- The Elaine Simon Endowment for Jewish Family Life Education Fund – to provide funding for promoting individuals and family
growth, to strengthen healthy relationships and enrich Jewish identity.
- Karyn H. Sykes Memorial Fund – to support the creative pursuits of children in need
Other Funds at Jewish Family Service
- Aging Fund – provides home support for the frail elderly
- Children's Fund – for casework needs and programming.
- Scholarship Fund to provide support and outreach to children and teens
- Emergency Family Assistance Fund – provides emergency assistance in times of crisis.
- General Endowment Fund – to support all of the agency programs.
- General Restricted Fund – for equipment and other agency needs
- Training & Development Fund – to provide ongoing education to agency staff and Board
- Jewish Family Service Memorial Fund – comprised of contributions in memory of loved ones.
- Loan Fund – to provide last resort, interest-free loans to clients in financial need.
